In 2017, this Boston-based networking group was looking to refresh their website after having the same dated design for almost 10 years. Myself & the team at Arnold Worldwide met with the leadership at MITX several times to determine the design direction they were seeking with this undertaking. The client was looking to modernize their online presence in order to keep current & relevant much like they help do for organizations they bring together.
Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange
The Challenge
How can we redesign MITX’s website to a more modern experience?
My Role
Lead User Interface Designer
For this project, I assigned as the Lead UI Designer and worked alongside with the UX team at Arnold Worldwide who provided me with wireframes. The UX Team and myself went through several rounds with the client to decide the final look. I also worked alongside Arnold’s content creators for new photography & video assets to add to the site. Lastly, I provided dev support to help refine the site experience.

Concepting
With the client supplying me their color scheme, they didn’t have any brand guidelines in regards to typography. I came up with some fonts and mocked up some different iterations for the client to choose from. I started the project with mobile designs first, and then the responsive desktop and tablet versions after.
