Northeastern University: SAIL

The Challenge

How do we deliver a powerful tool directly to students that allows them to leverage all of the opportunities at Northeastern, visualize growth, and log their activities all in a mobile app?

In 2018, Northeastern University was looking to build a framework intended to shift the perspective of learning from traditional higher education to a more holistic and experiential way of looking at a person’s learning journey throughout their life. Intrepid, part of the Accenture Interactive Studio, worked closely with Northeastern’s team to devise a point system that used relativity, rather than cumulatively, to visually relay the importance of this sense of balance. This framework was called SAIL (Student Assessed Integrated Learning).
